Westminster, MD MABA Alpaca Celebration!
Sponsor: Maryland Alpaca Breeders Association

Over 90 area alpaca farms will be represented at the annual MABA Alpaca Celebration. Here's your chance to see these incredibly soft animals up close as well as take in a wide variety of activities. Alpacas will be competing for best fleece and conformation as awarded under the AOBA National Certified Show System. Locally produced yarns and products will be available along with free seminars, and costume classes for the whole family.
There are now over 65 alpaca farms in Maryland, and the number is steadily growing. Owners and breeders will be on hand to answer questions about becoming part of the world of alpacas, including costs and rewards. With only 125,000 alpacas in the US, this is still a very young industry but with steady growth.
Beware! Once you are around these animals, it is very easy to get the alpaca bug!
